Biography: Wegene Demisie Jima

Wegene Demisie Jima is a Robotics Engineer at the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (AII). In 2025, he began his Ph.D. studies in Management Science and Engineering at Zhengzhou University, China, with a research focus on Technology and Innovation Management. His doctoral studies are supported by a prestigious scholarship from the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and are expected to be completed in 2029.

Wegene holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Bahir Dar University (Ethiopia) and an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur (India). Throughout his academic and professional journey, he has remained deeply committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies and promoting responsible innovation to drive sustainable development and industrial transformation in emerging economies.

His research interests are interdisciplinary and forward-thinking, spanning:
